Community Futures Greater Trail, invites you to be a part of this year’s THRIVE South Kootenay Business Resource Expo on Wednesday, October 9th, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Prestige Hotel in Rossland, BC.   

This event was first introduced to our business community in 2018 and was a great success for the first year running. Exhibitor booths sold out to a great selection of business service providers from the region. FortisBC was the Presenting Sponsor, while the City of Trail, Kootenay Savings Credit Union, Columbia Basin Trust, and EZ Rock stepped up as Corporate Sponsors.  The event was a very enjoyable evening of networking and an excellent opportunity for local business owners and entrepreneurs to gain valuable business advice at no charge.

THRIVE is designed to assist local businesses and to direct our local youth and entrepreneurs to the services that they may require to succeed in the business world.  In Rossland alone, Community Futures currently provides business loans to 20 businesses and offers self-employment/entrepreneurial training to 7 Rossland entrepreneurs. We continually strive to find ways to assist entrepreneurship and THRIVE is just another example of that.

This year’s THRIVE will showcase local business service providers, offering FREE business advice and resource opportunities to the public, covering topics such as:

• Business loans
• Education and training
• Starting up a new business     
• Best practices on social media, advertising and promotion                 
• Manufacturing and exporting
• Innovation and digital technologies
• Youth entrepreneurship and much more
