CFGT Staff Profile – Office Manager, Nicole Pipes

Nicole joined the CFGT team in June of 2008 as Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Office Manager in 2016. During her 14 years of service she has kept the office running smoothly with her exceptional administrative, accounting, budgeting, policy development, human resources, and business analysis skills. She is highly respected by the Board and her work colleagues, who have adopted the office saying “If you don’t know the answer, just go ask Nicole”.

Raised in Montrose, Nicole displayed a love of water at a very young age. After many swimming lessons at the old Montrose pool she joined the synchronized swimming team. She also attempted to join the diving team but quickly realized that her fear of heights was not going to work in her favour. A recurring vision of smacking her face on the diving board was the deal-breaker!

She played basketball from elementary through high school as point guard and for many years attended the Rockettes basketball summer camp in Castlegar. She also played infield for various local fastball and competitive slo-pitch teams, winning provincial titles and having a lot of fun.

Nicole graduated from Selkirk College in 1994. Since local employment opportunities were not abundant at the time, Nicole moved to Saskatoon, SK where she got a job as a customer service rep at Kindersley Transport. While studying accounting at the University of Saskatchewan, she worked as an accountant at a small Saskatoon-based marketing firm. In early 2005 she accepted a position at Frito Lay Canada in Alberta doing accounts payable for both Lethbridge and Taber operations.

June 2008 brought an employment opportunity at Community Futures Greater Trail. Nicole sold her house in Coaldale, AB, packed up her 2 cats and moved back home to Sunningdale. She is currently a volunteer and foster for the local SPCA branch and enjoys gardening, crochet, and craft nights with her friends.

Thank you Nicole, for your outstanding service to CFGT and for your continued contribution to our region!
