ORANGE T-SHIRT CAMPAIGN 2023

Stephanie Gill from Burntstick Graphic Design has once again worked her magic to create another stunning image to proudly showcase in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Stephanie is very proud to produce this artwork to honour her ancestors and acknowledge the trauma and suffering they endured.  Stephanie was the first generation to escape the horrors from attending residential school, as her grandparents, her mother, along with a number of other relatives were not as fortunate.

This original artwork is titled, Da’naghi’let meaning, “We are carrying them.”

  • For the tiny moccasins that will never wear out,
  • For the siblings who lost a sister or brother,
  • For the parents who never got to say good bye,
  • For the communities who carried the pain of it all,
  • For the painstaking search for the little children,
  • For the unraveling of so many unmarked graves,
  • For the little wondrous souls deserving so much more.

We honour them and will carry them home.

A huge thank you to Stephanie and her family for collaborating with CFGT for yet another year, to create a locally produced masterpiece to show our respects and honour the residential school survivors, their families, and the precious souls who did not return home.

A portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to Circle of Indigenous Nations Society (COINS).
